Technical Sales Engineer

Job Overview
​We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team, specialising in industrial and technical gas solutions. This is a pivotal, customer-facing role focused on expanding our market presence within the engineering and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships.
​Key Responsibilities
​Customer Engagement: Proactively identify and engage with potential customers in the industrial and engineering industries. You'll be responsible for opening doors and establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers.
​
​Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert on our product line, providing detailed technical advice and solutions tailored to customer needs. Our products include Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Welding gases, Brewing gases, Leak
detection gases, and various specialty mixtures supplied in cylinders and bundles.
​
Business Development: Identify and develop areas to sell our range of ancillary products and services
​
​Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets. This includes market analysis, lead generation, and creating compelling proposals.
​
​Product Demonstrations: Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our gas products and associated equipment
​
​Problem-Solving: Address and resolve customer inquiries and technical issues related to our products and their applications.
​
​Market Feedback: Gather and relay customer feedback and market intelligence to the product development and management teams to help shape future offerings.
​
​Qualifications
​A degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field is preferred but not essential
​Proven experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the industrial gas, manufacturing, or a related technical industry.
​An understanding of industrial processes that use gases, such as welding, brewing, and leak detection.
​Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely.
​Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
​Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
​A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
